Welcome to our Blog
We are Robert and Richard Robinson, twin brothers who were born at Castle Air Force Base and grew up on Air Force bases in America's southeast, northeast, the Plains, and Okinawa, Japan. Upon our father's retirement, we moved to California and have been here ever since. We visited Yellowstone National Park for the first time in 1974, when we lived in North Dakota. We've loved National Parks ever since. Our first overnight backpacking trip was in Point Reyes National Seashore. We've done easy climbs in Pinnacles and Yosemite. Richard has been to Yosemite over 100 times. Robert has been to Point Reyes over 40 times. Other parks we've visited include: Grand Canyon, Grand Teton, Glacier, Mt. Rainier, Crater Lake, Lava Beds, Craters of the Moon, Channel Islands, Joshua Tree, Death Valley, Redwoods, Devils Postpile, Arches, Zion, Great Basin, Sequoia-Kings Canyon, Mt. Rushmore, Theodore Roosevelt, Oregon Caves, Organ Pipe Cactus, Saguaro, Lassen Volcanic, Rocky Mountain, Dinosaur, and some others.
We enjoy camping, backpacking, climbing, biking, hiking, observing wildlife and plants, nature and landscape photography, cross-country skiing, and paddling. Not only do we enjoy these activities for the physical challenge they represent, but also the places you can get closer to and observe through them.

We'll be posting photos that we've taken at various National Parks, Forest, and wilderness areas, along with wildlife and plant life. This blog will serve as a photo gallery for our photographic work and business site. We are both published writers and photographers. Robert has been published several times in Family Motor Coaching and Trailer Life magazines. We were both published in Family Motor Coaching as well as the Los Angeles Times travel section for an article about riding mountain bikes to Kings Canyon. We've also been producing videos for the last 15 years mostly about recreation and native culture. Richard is an adult school teacher who teaches computer skills and digital photography. He has led classes to Yosemite for nature photography trips.
Photos with a Buy Print or Buy Card buttons under them can be purchased using the FotoMoto online photo-processing service. This publish-on-demand service is a more environmentally-friendly way for us to offer our photos to the public in that we won't have to carry an inventory to keep enough photos in stock, since they'll only be printed when ordered. Along with the photos that we'll be posting, we'll tell the story of how we got them.

Remember, it's not just a picture, it's a story.
